Today’s topic is flow.
Flow?
Yes. Flow.
What does flow actually mean to you?
When things happen easily. When I don’t have to try but it all just gets done. sand falls into place.
OK, well flow is when there is little or no resistance in your energy. Correct?
Yes
OK, so to be in flow means you look to eliminate or reduce resistance?
Yes
OK, well you need to do what you need to be aware of what the resistance is, correct?
Yes
Because you can’t change something if you’re not aware of it, right?
Yes, right
So, when you’re not flowing (and you’ll know pretty quickly by what is going on around you as to when you’re flowing or not 😂), then you will need to take a closer look at your point(s) of resistance.
Ask yourself what is it? Is it fear? Stubbornness (which is basically fear)?, Frustration and anger (also fear)? What is it that you are feeling that is causing a lack of flow or offering resistance?
Are there any thought barriers you can remove? Can you soften your thought with some form of condolence? Soothe it, smooth it?
For example, when it’s time to go and do exercise. For some, there is no resistance, just pure excitement and flow. For many it feels like a chore. It brings up all sorts of thoughts around insecurities about not being good at it, getting bored, finding it difficult, in fact it can bring around total apathy.
You’re made of energy and energy is continually moving. So why do you still need to move?
The main reason is to prevent a conglomeration of stagnant cells. When energy is not able to move freely it becomes stagnant and therefore not able to cycle through its lifecycle freely and in a healthy way.
Movement is required for a healthy human body so there is always a need to move if you want human body that feels flow. Intentional movement is best, not just adhoc movement. Intentional movement sends the message to your cells that you are loving and respecting their needs.
But when the resistance is so great you do the complete opposite and basically ‘freeze’ or stagnate then you need to find a way to flow your energy in your cells.
You need to face into the resistance and clear or reduce it even just a little to allow for movement and therefore flow.
Whatever suits you and your current state is enough. The intention of movement for wellbeing is crucial. Allow yourself to move according to how your body is requesting. It might be stretching, it might be a run or a cycle. It might just be gently swaying or swinging of your arms. Once again it is all personal preference and related to the individual life experience, that you are choosing minute by minute.
Don’t overthink it, just find a way to allow your molecules, your cells and your energy to move as freely as possible for a more comfortable human experience.
